Jan's father, an Air Force pilot, never returned from a mission to rescue American prisoners of war in Germany during World War II. His courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impact on Jan's life.
His legacy inspired Jan's lifelong respect for America's military and ultimately led to one of the greatest honors of her career—touring internationally with the legendary Bob Hope to entertain U.S. service members around the world.
