Believe it or not I’ve been holding this song for 12 years. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I was having a meeting with Henry Marx, President of Big Deal Record and Bobby Caldwell’s manager, and he played it for me and said, “This is a hit, you should record it!”
Rosie Casey, (who wrote it with Ken Hirsch), I met in songwriting class taught by the famous songwriter, Jack Segal, who was responsible for getting me back in the studio and recording his song ‘When Sunny Gets Blue,” that went to No#1 on AOL Single’s Chart!
Never thought I would hold it for so many years, but I’m thrilled how everything came together, not without pulling my hairs out many times, but that perseverance, blood sweat and tears that went into making this project, I know will pay off! The projects that push you more, make you stronger in the end.
